Awaken Iowa is designed to invite those who attend, regardless of where they are at in their walk with God, to take one step deeper into their relationship with Christ and His Church. To make this encounter as accessible as possible to each one, there is no admission or entry fee to attend Awaken Iowa.
While free to the public, there are significant costs to bring Damascus to Iowa including Damascus’ professional fees and travel, venue and parking garage rental, audio/visual equipment, refreshments, and marketing & promotions. In all, expenses total over $15,000. To date, $7,000 has been secured. We praise and thank the Lord! Everything is a gift from God, and all money is His. We know there is more!
The fuel of the Church is not good aesthetics, business models, or influencers. God has designed the Church to rise and fall in the presence of His Holy Spirit. The same Holy Spirit who raised Christ from the dead and energized the apostles, lives today and yearns to touch the hearts of His children. Alone we cannot change the world, but together, united in that same Holy Spirit, we can cast our individual stones across the waters to create many ripples.
